HOUSE AND GROUND RULES

 GENERAL

          1.     Please treat Club property as you would your own.

2.     Members shall be responsible for the conduct of their families and guests 

3.     Active play is prohibited within the building and on the deck or other concrete surfaces.

4.     In or near the clubhouse, radios, and TV’s shall be used with earphones only.

5.     Pets, whether leashed or not, shall be kept off club property.

6.     Cars should not be driven on either the clubhouse or shelterhouse lawns.

CHILDREN

        7.     Children shall be responsibly supervised at all times.

        8.     Only if supervised by club member over the age of twenty-one (21) years may children under the age of eighteen (18) remain at the Club overnight.

STORAGE, EATING, GALLEY

        9.     Personal clothing and gear, including picnic gear, shall not be stored inside the clubhouse building.

        10.    Tables shall not be reserved in advance of immediate preparation for eating, and no picnic gear shall be placed on tables prior to such preparations.

        11.    Spilled foods, fallen containers, and broken glass shall be cleaned up immediately by persons responsible.

        12.    Tables shall be cleared and cleaned following the meal, with garbage and rubbish emptied into covered garbage cans.  When you fill a can, you are responsible for taking the contents to the garbage area and replacing it with a new liner.

        13.    Priority in galley shall be given to fleet and club regattas, but at other times individuals may make use of the galley.  Users shall clean up.  Food left in the refrigerator will be removed on Monday.

TENTS AND TRAILERS

        14.    Dry-sailing boat storage shall be permitted only by club members and only in designated areas.

        15.    Towed boat trailers shall be unhitched and stored in the trailer-storage area.  No trailers shall be permitted in the northern (auto) parking lot.  Trailers shall be stored in the area south of the shelterhouse, EXCEPT not in the RV designated spaces along the rail.

        15a.  All trailers that are stored in the trailer parking lot south of the auxiliary shelterhouse should have a CLSA Trailer ID Tag affixed on the front of the trailer.  These ID Tags have a serial number corresponding to your dock number and will be registered to the active CLSA member.  CLSA accepts no responsibility for the care or safety of any property stored in the trailer parking lot.

15b.  Any trailer stored on CLSA property that does not a CLSA trailer ID Tag attached. may be removed from CLSA property and disposed of with the approval of the CLSA Board of Governors.  Every reasonable attempt will be made to contact the owner (if known) by phone, mail, e-mail; and or JIB Sheet.

16.    No recreational vehicle shall be left unattended on club property longer than seven (7) days.

17.    No house trailers shall be permitted at any time on any part of club property.  Camping trailers and truck campers may be located only in the designated area south of the shelterhouse.

18.    Tents may be placed on the clubhouse south and west lawns.  On Sundays and holidays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. all tents, baggage and equipment shall be cleared away from the clubhouse lawns, except on three-day holiday weekends when tents may be left up until 10 a.m. on the third day.

19.    Tents may be placed on the shelterhouse land to the north, south, and west of the shelterhouse.  Tents may not be placed east (in front) of the shelterhouse, for the full width of the concrete slab, in such manner as to block the view of the lake.  Tents shall not remain in one location over three (3) days; longer usage will kill the grass.

20.    Vehicles shall not be driven on the grass surrounding the auxiliary shelterhouse.  This limitation is imposed to protect underground piping and tanks for the septic and water system.

INTOXICANTS

21.    There shall be no use of alcoholic beverages including beer by any guest under the age of twenty-one (21) while on CLSA property or while engaged in any CLSA-sponsored activities.

22.    The use or sale of illegal drugs by any member or guest while on CLSA property or engaged in any CLSA-sponsored activity is strictly forbidden.

23.    Neither alcoholic beverages nor illegal drugs may be possessed or consumed on State property.  This includes the dock and harbor areas as well as the lake itself.

LOCKING

24.    To keep lock combinations from unauthorized persons, spin combination as soon as lock is opened.  Do not let lock remain set on combination while open.  Locks may be closed on any setting.

25.    The last person to leave the clubhouse shall be responsible for locking up.  When in doubt, lock up.

26.    CLUBHOUSE LOCKING PROCEDUREPLEASE

        a.     Secure lights, stoves, fireplaces, water taps.

        b.     Lock both doors to room in basement.

        c.      Lock each head.

d.     Engage slide bolts at top and bottom of the four (4) glass cabin doors; then bolt from inside.

e.     Bolt from inside the east door to galley.

f.      Push in and turn the inside handle of west galley door, and lock it behind you as you leave.

      

        27.    SHELTERHOUSE LOCKING PROCEDURE:

                a.     Turn off lights and water taps.

                b.     Lock both head doors.

                c.      Extinguish grill fires.

        28.    PARTY USE

Members wishing to use the club facilities for a party, shall clear the date with CLSA Commodore.  Scheduled fleet and club regattas shall take preference.
